priSM® credential holders - overview of Associate credential requirements

This level is the starting point for members who do not meet the criteria for a Professional designation but would benefit from membership and partnership in itSMF. At this level, the applicant would be progressing their career though continuing education and work experience to meet the qualifications at the Professional level.


Mandatory Requirements:

  1. BulletMembership in itSMF (reciprocity with other chapters upon request)


  1. BulletSigned itSMF Code of Ethics form


  1. BulletOne (1) certificate at the Associate level from the Approved Certification List


Applicant submits:

  1. BulletSigned copy of the priSM® Application Form with a signed copy of the itSMF Code of Ethics and priSM® agreement (included at the end of this application)


  1. BulletRésumé, CV or priSM® Supplemental CV Addendum Form


  1. BulletpriSM® Calculator & Checklist Form and documentary evidence as follows:


  1. BulletOne (1) certificate demonstrating training at the Associate level from the Approved Certification list. This documentary evidence may be a photocopy or scanned image.


  1. BulletCompleted and signed priSM® Reference Form.
